AutoQ

With many large productions the lightshow of a song would be automated with fixed timing and therefore no room for error.
In this case, even a 0.1 second deviation by the musicians could result in the lights being badly out of sync.
This is not a problem for professionals who are skilled enough to participate in these events.
The music nights at our school are not productions of this scale, and the musicians could not be expected to reach such a standard of precision.

This leaves us in the lighting team with a problem, how do we ensure that the lightshow stays in sync, without automation.
The solution is AutoQ.
AutoQ is a piece of software I have developed for the av (audio/visual) technical team at my school.
It is primaraly used for listing the lyrics of a song or script of a play, embedding within the moments at which a cue needs to be switched.
