This is the last day before we set off for Sweden. As I write this I am sitting at home preparing to leave for the next five weeks. I think we have everything, I’m not 100% on that though. I have never been on a cycle tour before where we did not forget something.

It’s exciting but nerve wrecking at the same time. We (my father, brother and I) have never done a trip this long before. I also have never done a cycle tour for which we need to fly.

We will be flying to Stockholm later today and to Umeå tomorrow. We hired a van to get our bikes to the airport so everything should be accounted for. Should everything go as planned we will be on the plane by 19:30 tonight and be asleep in a hotel at Stockholm airport before midnight. I hope.

I have a Strava that I will put each day of cycle touring in. There is not going to be anything today because we are not cycling yet. It does have the tours from the last few years still on there though.

This is kinda terrifying. We are going to be living in remote forests in Scandinavia for over a month cycling to the northernmost place you can get to in Europe. A!

And I was. We have never been at the airport without our parents before. I am currently standing between the bike boxes with my lovely sister and waiting for dad to put the van back. It’s going to take a while. I’m bored.
